Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How much do your corporate films cost?
A. Anything between £250 to £250,000. A minute long video on your website could cost just £350, but we normally deal with much larger companies making films for marketing, advertising and events.
Q. If we work with Capricorn, can we spread the cost?
A. Of course. There is a negotiable staged payments system in place to make this as easy as possible, normally with 40% of the entire contract price payable on sign off. This also ensures that with contracts that cover a number of months, we can pay our specialists in good time.
Q. Where are you based?
A. Our base is in Brentwood, Essex, but we work on an international basis, travelling on location whenever and wherever. Much of our work is based in London, however.
Q. Is it right you make documentaries as well?
A. Yes, we are in the process of finding a sponsor for two cricket programmes to be aired on ITV4 and Sky Sports. In addition, we are seeking commissions for programmes and series on: Fishing, Family Business and Boxing. Budgets for these productions tend to start at £20,000.
Q. And what about feature films?
A. Capricorn owner Robin Bailey is sourcing investment for a Philippines-based thriller, “Manila Bay”, written by Chelmsford-based director Terence Daw.
Q. What other services are available?
A. Media Training for sportspeople and spokespeople in business and for charity. Voice-over services for any TV production, especially sports programmes.
Q. How long does it take to make a corporate film?
A. It depends on how many filming days are involved but many of our contracts are turned around inside a fortnight.
